Mastering the Auto Design – Albums in 15-20 minutes tops

New in Album Builder v4.5 is auto design–this simple, yet powerful new feature will allow you to design full albums in 10-20 minutes. It will change not only your business, but the entire way you approach album design.

Use these simple tips to master auto design in Album Builder.

Using the Balanced Design Drop Down

In this quick tip we show how you can use the “Design Selection” button for even more control over your album design. In this design below we were able to do a long thin strip of images on a square album spread with just one selection and one click.

Using The Main Image Drop Downs

There are three different options for using a main image on a page and having Album Builder auto design the remaining images.

1. Have the main image appear on the left or right of the spread with white space around it.

2. Have the main image appear on the left or right of the spread with no white space.

3. Have the main image bleed across onto the next page (as you see here).

How it works

Using Random

Album Builder has a Random feature, which is fantastic when you just don’t know exactly what you want. You have the option of forcing a main image on the left or right or going full auto and possibly getting a balanced spread. The choice is up to you.

That’s all you need. We have reports back from everyone using the pre-release and 15-20 minutes for a full 40-page album is all the time people need.
